Operational planning

• BPU has 16 companies and BORSOPTs deployed along our borders. There is more concentration of companies along the Kenya Somalia border due to its porosity and threat level.
• All companies have sub bases that host platoons; The companies work hand in hand with other security agencies and occasionally conduct joint patrols with the General Service Unit, Kenya Defence Forces and General Duty Police.
