Operational Intelligence (A2)

  • Provide Timely and Accurate information to the DIG APS, Unit and field Commanders on all Intelligence related
  • Receive and collate information and criminal intelligence from own sources and other agencies.
  • Analyse and interpret information / criminal intelligence for Areas of Responsibilities in order to advise Commander’s decision making process.
  • Disseminate intelligence summaries to units and field commands in a timely fashion.
  • Brief Commanders on the intelligence situation within their Area of Intelligence Responsibility (AIR).
  • Support all current operations and operational planning.
  • Manage DIG APS’ Information / Intelligence Requirements (IR)
  • Maintain detailed files on Area of Intelligence Responsibility (AIR).
  • Liaise with other government agencies where necessary or as directed by the DIG.
  • Maintain a record of dissemination of information / intelligence reports to enable auditing and accountability.
